Little Island in the Hudson River Park<\/span> <\/a>is an urban park designed by the Heatherwick Studio and opened in 2021. Little Island is 0.97 hectares in size. And the structure of the park consists of 280 concrete piles protruding into the riverbed. The landscape on Little Island was designed by Signe Nielsen of Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects, and consists of three lawns, sixty-six thousand bulbs, 35 tree species, 65 shrub species and more than 270 species of perennials and grasses.
