St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York<\/span> <\/a>was designed by architect James Renwick.
And its design was inspired by Cologne Cathedral and Amiens Cathedral, among others. On Aug. 15, 1858, the foundation stone of St. Patrick’s Cathedral was laid.
Patrick’s Cathedral was laid and over 20 years later in 1878, the cathedral was completed.
