Central Park Zoo in New York is one of the oldest zoos in America. More than 130 different species of animals live in this zoo. And there is a nice petting zoo where goats, sheep, cows, and other furry creatures live.

Just a few feet from 5th avenue in southeastern Central Park, you will find The Central park zoo. This beautiful and most famous zoo of New York was created in 1871 and is 2.6 acres ( 26000 m² ) in size. And it is home to over 130 different species of animals. The Central park zoo is part of The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), which also operates The Bronx Zoo, The New York Aquarium, The Prospect Park Zoo and The Queens Zoo in their management. Collectively, these parks have over 400 million visitors annually.

In Tisch Children’s Zoo you will mainly find smaller animals, such as sheep, goats, pigs and Manhattan’s only cow. Admission is included with Central Park Zoo tickets.
Is The Central Park Zoo in New York worth a visit?
If you do go to the Central park goes, then a visit to The Central park zoo in New York is really worth it. The Zoo is not as big as the Bronx Zoo, but there are plenty of fun animals to admire and for the kids there is a nice petting zoo.
